What do I need to issue an SSL certificate?
For a free certificate, all you need is a domain name and proof that you own it. On our hosting, this validation happens automatically.
What if I cannot prove domain ownership?
Check that the domain's DNS records point to the hosting and that the changes have already taken effect. If it still does not work, contact support.
How is a Let's Encrypt certificate renewed?
The certificate is valid for 90 days and renews automatically, with no action required.
How reliable is a free certificate?
It provides the same encryption as a paid one, but it only confirms domain ownership and does not include organization details.
What happens to SEO if SSL stops working?
The browser will show visitors a warning, and search engines may push the site down in search results. That is why it is important to keep an eye on the expiry date and correct installation.
Can I issue a free certificate for a subdomain only?
Yes, a certificate can also be issued for a subdomain, for example shop.example.kz.
Does SSL affect page load speed?
When configured correctly, the certificate does not slow down your site.
Why is the browser padlock no longer green?
The icon color depends on the browser. Green used to highlight extended validation certificates; now browsers show a neutral icon for all types.
Can a faulty SSL setup break my site?
Yes, if redirects or the certificate binding are misconfigured. On our hosting the certificate is enabled automatically, and support will help if any issues come up.
