How a GlobalSign SSL certificate works
A visitor opens the site
The browser requests a secure connection, receives the certificate and starts the TLS handshake.
Certificate check
The browser verifies the digital signature and validity of the certificate against its built-in trusted root authorities, then the parties exchange keys.
HTTPS connection
Data is encrypted with AES, which rules out eavesdropping and man-in-the-middle attacks.
Trust indicators
Visitors see the padlock icon, and the EV certificate details show the verified company name.
Protected forms
Feedback forms, logins, orders and carts are encrypted before sending and cannot be read without the server key.

Can one certificate protect several domains?
Yes, GlobalSign multi-domain certificates can protect up to 100 addresses in a single certificate.
Does the certificate cover subdomains?
Yes, Wildcard SSL protects all subdomains of the main domain, for example *.example.kz.
How long does it take to get a certificate?
DV takes from 10 minutes. OV and EV require organization validation, so issuance can take up to 5 business days.
Can I install everything myself?
Yes. You will receive the certificate files and installation instructions. Our specialists can help if needed.
What should I do when the certificate expires?
Renew the certificate in advance so your website is never left unprotected. Submit a request and we will help with the renewal.
In what format is the certificate delivered?
Certificate files are provided in formats for popular web servers.
Can I move the certificate to another server?
Yes, as long as you still have the private key. If the key is lost, the certificate can be reissued free of charge.
Do I need to protect the www and non-www addresses separately?
No. Both versions of the address are covered by one certificate if the main domain is specified.
