Unlike outdated VPN solutions, WireGuard delivers high speed with low overhead. It works on most operating systems, on Asus, Keenetic, Teltonika and MikroTik routers (RouterOS 7; RouterOS 6 with limitations), and on OpenWrt via LuCI.

Can I use WireGuard on Keenetic routers?
Yes, WireGuard support is built into Keenetic firmware, and setup takes a few minutes.
Is WireGuard supported in RouterOS 6 and 7?
Official support arrived in RouterOS 7. In RouterOS 6 it works only with limitations.
Is WireGuard compatible with OpenWrt and AsusWRT?
Yes, WireGuard is supported in OpenWrt (via LuCI) and in AsusWRT firmware, including IPv6.
Does WireGuard work with Tunnelblick?
No, Tunnelblick is an OpenVPN client. For WireGuard, use the official macOS app.
Can I use a Pre-Shared Key?
Yes, PSK is supported and can be configured, including in PiVPN and through the web interface.
Is IKEv2 supported?
IKEv2 is a separate VPN protocol unrelated to WireGuard. WireGuard uses its own protocol and supports IPv6.
How do I install WireGuard on a Linux server?
Through your distribution's package manager, scripts like PiVPN or web interfaces such as Firezone, with no manual console work.
What are Firezone and qrencode?
Firezone is a web interface for managing WireGuard and viewing logs; qrencode is a utility that generates QR codes for connecting clients.
